About Us:
Amy Lewis and Heather Spann are pediatric occupational therapists and coauthors of Powerfully You, a self-regulation curriculum that emphasizes connection, compassion, and the value of individual differences. Self-regulation intervention requires a wide variety of supports. Sometimes we need relational approaches. Sometimes we need to adapt the expectations. Other times we might support foundational sensorimotor development through play. And sometimes we can use lessons to teach concepts and practice skills. How do we know when to choose between these supports? These handouts were created to support the clinical reasoning needed to know how to best meet the needs of your clients. We are excited to share them with you!
